Job Description

  • We are looking to hire candidates who have knowledge of banking operations and excellent marketing and selling skills with a minimum of 5 years’ Relationship Manager experience in all our branches across in Nigeria.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Approach customers with the aim of winning new business,
  2. Meet with existing customers to strengthen business relationships with a view to increasing the financial growth of the bank.
  3. Aggressively market the bank’s products to ensure favorable market response and optimum build-up of revenue.
  4. Follow up with customers with dormant accounts, and convince to resume dealings with the bank.
  5. Implement marketing strategies/programs laid out by the bank to boost profit.
  6. Listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
  7. Achieve set deposit targets/contributions by acquiring business/investment deals from private, public, individuals and corporates.
  8. Prepare documentation on the creation of risk assets to increase business office profitability.
  9. Sell/cross-sell and upsell the banks products.
  10. Market the brand.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned by the business manager.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related field.
  • 5-7 years relationship manager experience from a commercial bank.

Skills Required:

  1. Ability to evaluate needs of customers, and determine what products or services would best serve those needs.
  2. Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
  3. Must be strong, tenacious and persuasive.
  4. Strong selling / marketing skills.
  5. Must be self-driven, and have a passion for marketing.
  6. Good relationship management skills.
  7. Confident and possess excellent networking skills.

Knowledge Required:

  1. Good knowledge of the products and services of the bank.
  2. Basic knowledge of finance, accounting and economics.
  3. Business development and acquisition.
  4. Banking operations, policies, and procedures.
  5. Excellent knowledge of selling/marketing.
  6. Knowledge of current business trends and CBN regulatory laws.
