Job Position: Architect

Job Location: Ado Ekiti, Ekiti (with approximately 25% travel within Nigeria and internationally)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Plan, implement and arrange project specifications.
  2. Always strive towards high-quality, innovative and functional design
  3. Put together design proposals depending on needs and wants
  4. Produce blueprints and make corrections when needed
  5. Perform regular site visits to ensure project success
  6. Ensure that all the work is carried in accordance with specific standards
  7. Stay up to date with latest trends and best practices
  8. Discuss the ideas, objectives, requirements, and budget of a project.
  9. Consult with other professionals about design and assess the needs of the building.
  10. Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals.
  11. Use IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software.
  12. Keep within financial budgets and deadlines.
  13. Produce detailed workings, drawings and specifications.
  14. Specify the nature and quality of materials required.
  15. Prepare applications for planning and building control departments.
  16. Projects, manage and help to coordinate the work of contractors.
  17. Carry out regular site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running on time and to budget.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 10 years experience.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Extremely proficient with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  6. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation and consultation skills.
  7. Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models.
  8. Active board licensure required.
