Job Position: Marketing / Business Development Manager

Job Location: Abuja, FCT

Job Description

  1. To coordinate business development activities in assigned region, implement and transform prospects into active accounts.
  2. Marketing the company and identifying new business opportunities in order to generate leads and ensure that all business development activities culminate into fin ncial success for the company in both the short and long term.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Generate leads and bring in businesses both in loans and investment.
  2. Drive increased revenue (deposit) and profit to achieve sales objectives and growth strategy as indicated in the Company’s strategic plan.
  3. Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings.
  4. Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
  5. Understand the needs of customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how they can be met.
  6. Effectively coordinate activities and monitor the performance of marketing and
  7. Relationship Officers on deposit mobilization and loan repayment.
  8. Creation of quality risk assets in preferred sectors.
  9. Effectively monitor Relationship Managers/ Officers’ activities on loan repayment.
  10. Timely identify toxic assets and ensure appropriate measures are taken to minimize imminent risk.
  11. Ensure the use of sound credit judgment to maintain credible loans and reduce the number of non-performing loans to the barest minimum.

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of First Degree or its equivalent in any discipline plus a relevant higher degree or professional qualification/certification.

Professional Qualification:

  • Certificates from a reputable institution are an added advantage

Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years post-graduation experience, out of which at least 3 must have been in the banking industry, and at least 2 years’ experience in a Managerial role or equivalent position.

  7. Negotiation skills and ability to ‘close the deal’.
  8. Excellent problem solving and Relationship Management skills
  9. Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation.
  10. Organizational and time management skills.
