Job Position: Training Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • The Training Manager will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Reviews existing training programs, suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of clientele, the organization, or the industry.
  2. Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
  3. Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization and/or industry.
  4. Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.
  5. Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.
  6. Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.
  7. Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to the approved training budget.
  8. Prepares and implements training budget.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the daily activities of training associates and consultants.
  2. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field.
  2. At least two (2) years of experience in training with one (1) year of supervisory experience required
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong graphic design ability.
  4. Thorough understanding of training processes.
  5. Ability to moderate and train large groups.
  6. Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  7. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
