Job Position: Product Manager (Technical)

Job Description
- An ideal Product Manager at Afrimash is someone passionate about building lovable products. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy.
- You will provide project planning and management for various technology products within the company and ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and manage clear roadmaps for the company’s products; visualize the user journey and crisp specifications that clearly communicate requirements with partner teams.
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience; identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
- Manage the documentation process for product creation and maintenance.
- Conduct market research to identify competitions and fix technical risks in the pathways for each product.
- Communicate and collaborate with the product team as well as internal stakeholders.
- Organize and implement internal and external training on how to use the product.
- Identify, specify, and prioritize product features and capabilities; develop market requirement documents and product requirement documents.
- Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
- Drive product launches including working with the public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders to identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements with products.
- Work with data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems and implement beta tests.
- Provide subject matter expert contributions on the capabilities of each product to stakeholders and the community.
- Analyze metrics and data and create success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure consistency with product line strategy and effectiveness of the message being conveyed.
- Analyze the economics of project plans and provide actionable feedback relating to cost-benefit and return-on-investment standards.
Job Requirements
- First Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in building enterprise applications.
- Background in programming will be an added advantage.
- Working experience with project management tools like Jira, Github, Clickup.
- Experience with user stories estimation and story pointing.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of user experience principles and best practices
