Job Position: Account Officer

Job Location: Coker, Lagos

Job Description

  1. The Account Officer role is responsible for ensuring the financial transactions are accurately recorded and management information is available within established timeframes.
  2. S/He shall be responsible for managing payables, receivables, fixed assets register, and various statutory compliances.
  3. The role will also be part of planning the preparation of the budget and latest estimates in order to meet deadlines.
  4. The role will also provide financial support and analysis on key business initiatives and execute agreed strategies to deliver all P&L commitments.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ledgers Scrutiny, Closing monthly books of account. Ledgers Scrutiny and month-end closure.
  2. Checking Invoices with company policies, and approvals and making the entries into the system.
  3. Prepare treasury reports to monitor inflows and outflows of funds.
  4. Liaise with stockbroking firms and registrars regarding units of shares, dividend collection and investment statements.
  5. Liaise with contractors on maintenance contracts with respect to quotes, invoices and payments.
  6. Bank Reconciliation routine exercise.
  7. Tax Computation and remittance.
  8. Proper keeping of books of account.
  9. Provide financial information to audit/authorities.
  10. Provide Management Information System.
  11. Provide financial information to auditors and review financial statements
  12. Budget preparation and monitoring.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance.
  2. Must be a Chartered Accountant.
  3. Must have at least 3 years experience as an Accountant in a reputable organisation.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 Monthly.
