AB Microfinance Bank is a national microfinance bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), with its head office in Lagos and branches spread across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo and Anambra State. Job Position: Marketing / Public Relations Officer
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Marketing Strategy, Plans, Campaigns and Budget
- Control cost of Marketing and PR activities
- Coordinate the negotiation and service agreement with suppliers of marketing and PR materials.
- Liaising with vendors on procurements of marketing and promotional materials
- Planning and co-coordinating office events
- Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, promotional items, handouts, direct mail leaflets and photographs
- Ensure the company’s corporate public relations strategy is clearly defined, well-articulated and properly documented
- Establish and manage channels of communication with the media, public, shareholders and stake holders in cooperation with the CEO/CBO
- Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email;
- Oversee the content and production of radio jingles, newspapers, magazines and Web sites
- Liaise with third party service providers such as printing houses, advertising/media agencies /government agencies like LASAA, etc.
- Control the quality of all communication material to ensure that they conform to ABN’s brand standards and build a strong corporate image and identity.
- Manage the contents of ABN official social media pages
- Head the Editorial board of the internal newsletter and coordinate its publication on a monthly basis
- Propose strategies on how to organize product/service promotions in collaboration with relevant departments
- Support with prompt deliveries of marketing/promotional items from the head office
- Organize branch events in collaboration with the Branch Managers
- Manage ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent in Marketing, Business or any related field preferably in the bank or other financial institution
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in creating and implementing successful marketing campaigns, interventions and providing advisory on market insights.
- Excellent performance in current position and not less than one year in current position
- Experience in Marketing, Communications, Creative Design and Brand Management
- Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
- Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
- Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non- digital (e.g. press) channels
- Good understanding of the bank’s business and knowledge of products
- Effective in written and oral communication
- Strong interpersonal skills, people-oriented personality and strong team collaboration
