Job Position: Production Intern

Job Location: Lagos (Remote)

Job Description

  1. Are you fresh out of school or not? Smart, creative, open to learning with strong work ethics? Do you have a dream to work in media production?
  2. This is an opportunity to join the magic making hub at AltSchool Africa as a production Intern and put your creative skills to an impact-driven cause as you get to work within multiple areas of our content production process.
  3. You are the ideal candidate if you have the capability to exercise your multitasking abilities in the conceptualization of ideas, assisting with filming, editing and captioning of educational content.
  4. You will be a great fit for this role if you are creative, have an unusual way of thinking and getting things done.
  5. You must be able to work on a tight schedule, meet deadlines, be organized and efficient in your work, be a good communicator and listener who pays close attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide support to the production team in preparation for shoot days and creation of content
  2. Assist with keeping production trackers and spreadsheets up-to-date
  3. Assist post-production team to ensure proper captioning for all content is achieved
  4. Work with art and creative teams to select audio, video, colors, animation, etc. for graphic design
  5. Carry out regular industry research as needed.
  6. Work collaboratively with other team and internal stakeholders to achieve set goals and deliverables
  7. Review internal cuts on videos and provide prompt feedback on cuts from editors
  8. Transcode video footage: create proxies and sync raw files; Backup footage to multiple hard drives.

Job Requirements

  1. Must be have great content writing skills
  2. Must be able to use digital and basic video/content creation tools
  3. Knowledge of color, sound, and graphics would be an advantage
  4. Must be able to use Google suites
  5. A strong attention to detail and a knack for excellence.
  6. Good knowledge of media production, branding and advertising trends with the zeal to impact and empower Africans.
  7. A can do attitude, teachable and a problem solver.
