Job Position: Hotel Front Desk Officer

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring and providing flawless, upscale, professional and high class guest service experiences
  2. Analyzing customer feedback and providing strategic direction to continuously improve overall rating
  3. Responding to guests needs and anticipating their unstated ones
  4. Monitor daily bookings and ensure assigned rooms are prepared prior to check-in
  5. Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations and financial transactions
  6. Actively listen to and resolve complaints
  7. Ensure special guests, like disabled people, elderly, children and VIPs, receive personalized services
  8. Coordinate and manage communication between guests and staff and follow up to ensure customer concerns are resolved timely & efficiently
  9. Inform clients of hotel services, including breakfast and dining options
  10. Promote all hotel amenities, conveniences and programs offered
  11. Maintain up-to date information on room rates, current promotions, offers and packages
  12. Maintain all guest folios in the manner instructed and type out necessary guest likes and dislikes for decision making.
  13. Co-ordinate with housekeeping for clearing of rooms.
  14. Collect Guest feedback during guest departure along with his likes and dislikes.
  15. Ensure that all check-ins and check-outs are handled smoothly without unnecessary delay or discomfort to any guest.
  16. Participates in revenue/yield management efforts of the Hotel
  17. Analyze customer feedback from hotel guestbook and online reviews and suggest ways to improve rating
  18. Recommend local tourist spots, including places to dine, shop and sight-see
  19. Establish friendly relationships with regular hotel clients

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 3-5 years work experience.
  2. Must be able to handle all guests without bias or prejudice.
  3. Consciously and continuously strive to better his/ her skills and increase his/ her knowledge.
  4. Good command of the English language is essential, both written and verbal
  5. Must possess strong organization time management skills, attention to details;
  6. Must be guest service focused and a team player.;
  7. Positive attitude and outgoing personality is essential.
  8. Professional in demeanor and presentation.
  9. Personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work independently.
  10. Observant, discriminating and detail-oriented
  11. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed.
