Job Position: Senior IT Officer

Job Locations: Owerri, Imo and Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Creating and updating IT policies and procedures based on industry best practices
  2. Reviewing reports from other departments that use IT services to ensure that they are functioning properly
  3. Planning, designing, and implementing new computer hardware or software systems
  4. Coordinating the implementation of new technology within an organization, including working with vendors, consulting with IT staff, and communicating with management
  5. Supervising IT staff such as computer programmers, systems analysts, and network engineers
  6. Managing IT budgets and expenditures to ensure that projects are completed within time and budget constraints
  7. Coordinating the design, development, testing, and implementation of computer systems for large companies
  8. Developing security measures to protect computer networks from unauthorized access, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus software
  9. Providing technical support to end users regarding the use of computer applications or hardware products
  10. Working with team members to ensure the constant success of all company IT projects.
  11. Work with hardware team in order to integrate the hardware with the software efficiently
  12. Modification of software to fix errors, identify and adapt hardware, improve performance or upgrade interface.
  13. Analyzing information to recommend and plan the installation of new systems or modification of existing system.
  14. Identifying and developing software/solutions systems using coding, scientific analysis & mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and design consequences.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in IT management, preferably a senior role.
  3. Proven track record of successful IT project management and delivery
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  5. Certification in an IT related course is an added advantage.
  6. Knowledge of SAP and CCTV is a MUST.
  7. Working knowledge of Six Sigma or other process improvement methodology.
