Job Position: Quality Control Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  1. We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Officer to ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they reach the consumer.
  2. The Quality Officer or Quality Assurance officer, will inspect the final product to make sure it has been built with compliance to legal standards and meets customer expectations. A great quality officer is thorough and observant with an eye for detail.
  3. He/she must fully understand the requirements for the product or service and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition.
  4. The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable to drive sustainable growth.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
  2. Devise and review specifications for products or processes
  3. Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
  4. Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
  5. Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
  6. Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
  7. Inspect final output and compare properties to requirements
  8. Approve the right products or reject defectives
  9. Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
  10. Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
  11. Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives.
  12. Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc / BA in Business Administration or relevant field with with 2 – 3 years work experience.
  2. Proven experience as quality manager
  3. Conscientious and responsible
  4. A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
  5. Outstanding communication skills
  6. Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  7. Proficient in MS Office
  8. In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
  9. Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
  10. Certification of quality control is a strong advantage.
