Job Position: IT Technical Project Manager

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  • The IT Technical Manager is responsible for reducing external contractors minor contracted works for installation activities.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assisting in establishing a Project Management Office to oversee multiple projects.
  2. Liaising with stakeholders such as project personnel, vendors, and end-users regarding project requirements.
  3. Outlining, defining, and initiating the project.
  4. Implementing document control policies and documentation templates.
  5. Maintaining a good working knowledge of assigned component projects.
  6. Evaluating standards of component products.
  7. Monitoring project progress and implementing changes where necessary.
  8. Monitoring expenditures in accordance with the budget.
  9. Ensuring compliance with objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards.
  10. Compiling project reports and informing management regarding problems.
  11. Ensuring project complies with best practices, SOPs, PMO policies, and other policies.
  12. Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
  13. Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  14. Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary.
  15. Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively.
  16. Generating performance reports for operating systems.
  17. Assuring all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
  18. Evaluating technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  19. Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.

Job Requirements

  1. First Degree in Computer Science and Engineering or any related discipline.
  2. Project Management Certification.
  3. Other relevant IT professional certification will be an added advantage.
