Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom

Job Responsibilities

  1. Monitor cash transactions and plan for cash to be deposited at the bank daily or weekly.
  2. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  3. Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  4. Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  5. Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
  6. Responsible for making VAT payments when due.
  7. Prepare an accurate record of daily expenditures for the company.
  8. Review inventory of automobile parts, purchases, and reports submitted by the Inventory/Logistics Officer.
  9. Participate in regular team meetings to help identify process flow improvements and efficiencies.
  10. Collaborate with other departments to ensure billing accuracy.
  11. Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Membership in a recognized professional body i.e., ICAN, ACCA will be an added advantage.)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of IFRS and other relevant standards applicable to the automobile industry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programmes (MS Excel and MS Word specifically.)
  • Proficient with the use of accounting software tools such as QuickBooks, Sage50, ORION, etc.
  • Report writing and presentation skills.

Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 / month.
