Job Position: Accounts Payable / Payroll Officer

Job Description

  • An Accounts Payable / Payroll officer will be responsible for administering and managing the hotel’s Accounts payable & payroll functions by ensuring that all payments are accurate and comply with local laws.

Job Responsibilities
As Accounts Payable / Payroll officer, you will support the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions within the Finance department. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  1. Maintain record of payments and ensure vendors files/ledgers are in proper order
  2. Reconcile vendors’ statements.
  3. Ensure that the bills are accurate as to items, price and extensions and also that they have been approved by the Head of Department, Director of Finance and Management
  4. Administer payroll systems such that all team members in the hotel are paid for hours reported and applicable statutes and regulations are fully complied
  5. Properly administer all payroll records for all team members.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  7. Maintain Vacation accruals.
  8. Administer payroll deductions/advances and perform reconciliations.
  9. Prepare, review and analyse payroll reports for the purpose of proper payroll forecasting
  10. Able to analyse large volume of financial information and create reports that will assist the Director of Finance in payroll forecasting based on actuals.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Job Requirements
An Accounts Payable / Payroll officer serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  1. Minimum of HND in Finance or related discipline.
  2. Positive attitude and good communication skills.
  3. Previous experience in similar role/function
  4. Ability to use various accounting applications: SUN, MC and Oasys
  5. Able to effectively deal with team member and guests concern in a friendly and positive manner
  6. Excellent grooming standards
  7. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
  8. Previous experience in a high volume Accounts function
