Job Position: Human Resources Manager
Job Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment and selection process.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
- Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
- Liaises with managers and supervisors on the regular identification of training needs of employees and prepare yearly training plans.
- Manages staff leave, prepares annual leave plan, Monitors and enforce implementation of leave plan
- Staff file management, ensure completion, correctness and regular update.
- Processes applications for loans, salary advances, and other benefits.
- Formulate HR Policy, Procedure Manual and Staff Handbook.
- Develop salary structure, job grading evaluation
- Design, implement, classification of salary.
- Develop HR standards, reports, templates, scorecards and metrics.
- Manage HR projects, issues, and make recommendation to managements.
- Manage payroll processes, salary deduction arrangements, Over-time, Bonus and Incentives etc.
- Ensure timely Preparation and follow-up on the Remittance of Statutory/Required Deductions such as PAYE, Pension, NSITF, ITF, Insurance, etc.
- Maintain relationship with third party providers of HR services e.g. HMO, pension, NSITF etc., ensure efficient and satisfactory service delivery.
- Reconciliation of third-party data (entry, exit visà-vis cost of service).
- Liaise with the various departments and units to ensure an accurate and timely processing of staff benefits-medicals, per diem, exit benefits, leave allowance etc.
- Review and interpret policies and regulations, and advise HODs on the proper procedure in handling personnel matters and issues.
Job Requirements
- Minimum educational standard: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum Working Experience: 3 – 5 years experience (Factory related experience)
Required Knowledge, Skills & Attitude:
- Proficient use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven working experience as HR Manager or other Senior HR Executive role.
- Understand how to implement effective performance management systems – assess competency and culture fits in employee
- People oriented and results driven
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain internal and external customer relationships.
