Job Position: Accountant

Job Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain timely and accurate general ledger (posting entries, recording accruals, etc.) and maintain timely and accurate account reconciliations.
  2. Prepare monthly financial statements.
  3. Assist with general accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, job costing and general ledger posting.
  4. Assist with project setup sheets and maintain accounting filing system for projects.
  5. Assist with the required tax reporting in a timely manner.
  6. Prepare and update tax provision schedules
  7. Research the basis for tax positions to be taken
  8. Reconcile invoices with payments.
  9. Process and monitor payments and expenses.
  10. Receive and verify all vendor invoices.

Job Requirements

  1. B.Sc Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related course
  2. Being a member of an internationally recognised accounting professional body: ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage
  3. Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts payable, receivable and general ledger accounting.
  4. Industry experience would be an advantage.
