Job Position: Accountant
Job Location: Lekki, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain timely and accurate general ledger (posting entries, recording accruals, etc.) and maintain timely and accurate account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Assist with general accounting including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, job costing and general ledger posting.
- Assist with project setup sheets and maintain accounting filing system for projects.
- Assist with the required tax reporting in a timely manner.
- Prepare and update tax provision schedules
- Research the basis for tax positions to be taken
- Reconcile invoices with payments.
- Process and monitor payments and expenses.
- Receive and verify all vendor invoices.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related course
- Being a member of an internationally recognised accounting professional body: ICAN, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent is an advantage
- Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts payable, receivable and general ledger accounting.
- Industry experience would be an advantage.
