Job Position: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

  1. Our dynamic organization is looking for an equally dynamic Talent Acquisition specialist who will be working with the HR Department to identify and recruit qualified candidates for diverse top-level roles within the organization spanning our different branches in Africa.
  2. The ideal candidate would be responsible for developing organizational standards, defining the requirements for the vacant company positions, and actively seeking out qualified candidates through networking systems and social media marketing.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating with recruiting team and Hiring Managers for defining the requirements for vacant roles across Africa (Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Egypt, Cote d’iviore, Tanzania, etc.)
  2. Maintain resume websites and connect with potential employees across multiple digital platforms.
  3. Match top-level professionals with high-level employment opportunities.
  4. Send recruiting emails to passive candidates and follow up when necessary.
  5. Interact with other departments within the organization to coordinate hiring efforts, including the accounting and legal departments.
  6. Create or recommend strategies to improve recruiting processes.
  7. Maintain organized databases with candidates’ data (e.g., in the ATS utilized by the organization).
  8. Conduct benchmark analyses on compensation and benefits plans for different roles as well as seniority levels.
  9. Conduct research on compensation and benefits for various positions and seniority levels across Africa.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, or other related fields.
  2. Prior experience as a Head-hunter, Talent Acquisition Specialist, or related roles.
  3. Sound knowledge of online/offline sourcing methods.
  4. Hands-on experience with sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn).
  5. Advanced knowledge of sourcing techniques (including Boolean search).
  6. Familiarity with HR databases and Application Tracking Systems.
  7. Experience in report writing and data analytics.
  8. Professional Human Resource certifications is an added advantage.

Other Skills:

  1. Excellent communication and persuasion abilities (particularly when making cold calls and sending recruiting emails).
  2. Ability to make quick decisions.
  3. Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  4. Good decision-making skills
  5. Good understanding of labour practices in other African Countries.
