Job Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with programming languages and a strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, as well as additional experience in related areas.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design and implementation of deployment strategies
  2. Automate and streamline deployment processes
  3. Monitor and maintain production systems
  4. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise
  5. Research and recommend new technologies to improve system performance and scalability
  6. Lead a team of DevOps engineers and provide guidance and mentorship
  7. Collaborate with other teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues
  8. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and tools

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  2. Professional certifications in DevOps or cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps
  3. Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, etc.) are a plus
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  6. Experience leading or mentoring teams is a plus
  7. Experience with any additional DevOps tool is a plus

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • Strong experience with at least one programming language (Java, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of system administration and networking concepts
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Elastic Stack, etc.)
  • Experience with security best practices and tools is a plus
