Job Position: Building Services Engineer

Job Location:  Abuja

Job Description

  1. Designing the layout of energy distribution, water pipes and ventilation systems and identifying relevant materials
  2. Drawing up plans using computer-aided design and building information modelling software
  3. Carrying out tests on systems and making changes to plans where necessary
  4. Monitoring the installation of services and managing their maintenance once the building is completed
  5. Making sure that all building services meet health and safety requirements and environmental legislation.
    Liaising with Plumbers, Electricians, Surveyors, Architects, Civil Engineers and other construction professionals.
  6. Giving presentations and writing reports highlighting the practical implications of the architect’s designs
  7. Promoting energy efficiency and other sustainability initiatives.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
  2. Minimum of five years’ experience as a Building Services Engineer
  3. Excellent use of CAD for M& E Drawings.
  4. Excellent supervision skills.
  5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
