Job Position: Project Manager

Job Description
- As Project Manager, you will manage a project with a large client from the mining sector in Nigeria to deploy a digital mineral traceability and trading platform. Initially focused mainly on gold; this platform will be extended to other minerals.
- The objective is to support our client to supervise the ASM gold buying program – the production, purchase, traceability, and export of gold mined from small-scale sites.
- The role will be embedded within the client’s team in Abuja and supported by functional experts abroad.
Job Responsibilities
Traceability and due diligence:
- Oversee traceability and due diligence procedures and recommend improvements
- Conduct site assessments and train additional staff on procedures
- Monitor device usage, and quality and consistency of mineral traceability data by purchasing agents and conduct spot visits and audits on suppliers sites.
- Plan for regular supply chain risk assessment and implementation of mitigations relevant actions recommended by key business actors
- Training staff (purchasing, compliance officers) on due diligence procedures
- You are expected to have some knowledge of mineral sector but will by fully onboard by Minexx team.
Implementing and Assessing Purchasing Protocols:
- Review purchase, aggregation, and export procedures
- Conducting audits of operations
- Reviewing logistics protocols
- Reporting and presenting findings
Project Management:
- Report daily and weekly to the Minexx team on the progress of the project
- Work closely with the client to provide updates and ensure alignment.
- Explore and be accountable for other partnerships, outreach and relationships in Nigeria especially with local, regional and federal/national authorities.
- Budget planning and execution of the Minexx projects implementation in Nigeria
- Engage with potential Minexx clients and partners in Nigeria
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree
- Experience in the mineral sector for at least 3 years
- Experience living and working in Nigeria for at least 3 years
- Excellent communicator: Fluency in English
