Job Position: Experienced Accountant

Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that the financial transactions of the firm are accurately captured, classified, and posted with relevant approvals and coding instructions
  2. Receivables Management
  3. Payables Management
  4. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing for clients
  5. Perform regular reviews of the ledgers and other books of entries and ensure relevant reconciliations
  6. Ensure confidentiality and safe keeping of accounting records and documents
  7. Adhere to financial and accounting control procedures of the Company
  8. Carry out monthly Tax Returns (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, e.t.c.).

Job Requirements

  • Accounting Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years’ experience required.
  • Between 25 – 35 years of age
  • Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations in the industry
  • Working knowledge and experience of an accounting software / ERP
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies such as Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) is an added advantage.

Key Competencies:

  1. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  2. Experience with keeping financial records
  3. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  4. Excellent accounting software use
  5. Active, smart and catches up quickly.
