Job Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs
  2. Prepare and negotiate tender and Contract Documents, including Bills of Quantities with the Architect and/or the Client
  3. Coordinate work effort
  4. Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  5. Perform risk, value management and cost control
  6. Advise on procurement strategy
  7. Identify, analyze and develop responses to commercial risks
  8. Prepare and analyze costings for tenders
  9. Allocate work to subcontractors
  10. Provide advice on a range of legal and contractual claims
  11. Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports
  12. Value completed work and arrange payments
  13. Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  14. Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

  1. HND / BSc in Quantity Surveying
  2. Minimum of 5 years post NYSC working experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a reputable construction Company.
  3. Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
  4. Must be able to work well under pressure.
  5. Must be able to communicate effectively.
  6. Must be very vast in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  7. Must have been a project manager and work on construction project.
  8. Professional certification is a must
