Job Position: Business Development Officer

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • The Business Development Officer is responsible for the co-ordination and integration of the Group’s business development functions.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Co-ordinate all business development initiatives for the group.
  2. Accountable for business development across the group, weekly
  3. Prepare and deliver presentations/seminars to clients and prospects for business development purposes.
  4. Create sales and marketing strategies to generate new clients
  5. Prospect and win new accounts for the Group.
  6. Seek opportunities for subsidiaries in each subsidiary’s business
  7. Attend Business Development meetings of all subsidiaries
  8. Give advisory support to all business units in the group.
  9. Coordinates the networking of the Group and business units with prospects
  10. operators and regulators.
  11. Prepare weekly report on business development and marketing activities
  12. Consult with clients on the Group’s strategic products and services that are suitable for their needs
  13. Track revenue generation in order to facilitate the achievement of the Group’s budget
  14. Monitor decisions on business development and measure their impact
  15. Build a strong and long term relationship with clients
  16. Establish a network of referrals
  17. Examine business patterns, evaluate the fiscal statements, and assess potential competitors for clients’ businesses.
  18. Prepare business plans and suggest suitable business solutions to clients.
  19. Perform all other functions connected to business activities as may be directed by the management
  20. Any other assignment as may be assigned by your supervisor.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in similar role in the financial services industry
