The company was established in 2014 with five operational offices in different states and her head office in Abuja, Nigeria. Our services are centered around sourcing the finest, solid minerals and the healthiest agricultural products from the local market and exporting them to meet the demands of our customers at international markets.

Job Position: Chief Operating Officer

Job Description

  1. The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for managing the internal operations of the organisation.
  2. This role holder collaborates with the Heads of Business Units to develop the company’s operational plans and is charged with facilitating and implementing these plans across the organisation.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the development and implementation of operational strategies, objectives and plans to achieve corporate targets.
  2. Drive the development of resource and cost management optimisation plans based on market practices and the business environment.
  3. Collaborate with the Heads of Business Units to develop standard operating procedures for the continuous and successful execution of operational activities.
  4. Engage Units Heads to evaluate the effectiveness of all internal operational processes, company performance and recommend strategies to improve results.
  5. Plan and allocate resources (financial, manpower and work tools) as required by the various operations teams within the company.
  6. Ensure that all operational activities are performed in compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations and laws governing the business and industry.
  7. Prepare and implement the annual budget for the core business units and monitor performance to ensure that variances are minimised
  8. Lead improvements to the organisation’s operational activities through timely identification of issues and prompt resolution
  9. Drive the enforcement of service level agreements with vendors and contractors to ensure continuous and excellent service delivery.
  10. Develop and manage key relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective business operations.
  11. Keep abreast of industry developments and trends and proactively ensure the adoption of relevant operational practices.
  12. Manage organisational transformation projects and programmes development.
  13. Carry out periodic business trips across geographies, especially to locations where the company has the operational presence to supervise operations.
  14. Be an inspirational leader by mentoring and inspiring employees to align with the vision of management.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or any related discipline.
  2. MBA or a Master’s Degree in a related discipline.
  3. Relevant professional certification.
  4. Minimum of Twelve (12) years of relevant work experience, five (5) of which must have been spent in a senior management role.
  5. Relevant experience in the agro-allied, manufacturing and commodities trading/exportation sector
  6. Good understanding of Technical Operations/Supply Chain Management and Manufacturing
  7. Sound operations and project management capabilities.
  8. Practical, pragmatic, and able to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
  9. Demonstrated analytical and conceptual skills.
  10. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  11. Inspirational leader and team player with strong people management skills
  12. Strong decision-making ability and capacity to tailor operational procedures to different contexts/situations
