AB Microfinance Bank is a national microfinance bank licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), with its head office in Lagos and branches spread across Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo and Anambra State.

Job Description

  4. Strong domain knowledge and business acumen to ensure company’s technologies are used appropriately.
  5. Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors.
  6. Prioritize opportunity areas that can be solved given the organizational capacity and feasibility.
  7. Create product concepts to achieve the goal of business solutions for our customers.
  8. Refine, validate and identify top product concepts using available data.
  9. Rapidly test and iterate identified product concept among users.
  10. Create prototypes of the successfully tested product concepts.
  11. Translate insights into a product strategy from driving consensus internally, design, engineering, operations, forging required partnerships, and developing success metrics.
  12. Work with operations subject matter experts and use a broad range of sources to develop innovative functionality.
  13. Design processes, workflows, and functional components to improve efficiency.
  14. Work with designers, developers (both locally and remotely) and subject matter experts to get project requirements well-scoped, designed and built.
  15. Map out talent requirements for the product.
  16. Closely cooperate with internal teams such as business operations and sales, and e-channels to launch the product.
  17. Establish product delivery timelines in close collaboration with internal teams and keep stakeholders updated on.
  18. Evaluate and implement new technologies, systems, and infrastructure for competitive advantage in the current, dynamic digital finance ecosystem in Nigeria.
  19. Manage all technology assets with the right teams to ensure optimum return of investment using the ITIL framework — including availability, quality, performance, capacity management, financial management, change management, risk management, incident and problem management, and license management.
  20. Build payments landscape, and upgrade plan /roadmap to support business growth and innovation.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification: B.Sc. / HND in any related discipline with cognate experience
  • 7+ years of proven experience as a product manager, Developer, IT infrastructure systems engineer or similar leadership role, preferably in the Fintech, Banking, or software development industry.
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy.
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning would be an additional asset.
