Job Position: Software Engineer

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. As a Software engineer working in an agile environment, you will be part of a team developing, designing, testing, and delivering high-quality business-critical software.
  2. You will work with amazing and intelligent Engineers to build great software solutions for businesses and people.
  3. Develop awesome software
  4. Review other developers’ code
  5. Analyze requirements, confer with users to understand requirements, and ensure a deep understanding of any requirement given
  6. Demonstrate solutions by developing clear documentation (eg flowcharts, solution architecture diagrams, API documentation, etc)
  7. Write unit tests
  8. Liaise with Test engineers to ensure high-quality applications
  9. Conduct basic database administration activities as required
  10. Handle application deployment
  11. Architect and design software applications
  12. Learn new trends and technologies and recommend them for adoption

Job Requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related relevant field
  2. We prefer you to have 3 – 4 years of programming experience
  3. Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems
  4. Proficient in designing, building, and debugging distributed systems
  5. Excellent SQL skills
  6. Certified in one of OCMJEA, OCEJWCD, OCEJPAD, OCEJWSD
  7. Excellent analytical skills
  8. Comfortable with basic cryptographic techniques and security protocols
  9. Passion for contributing to a technology knowledge base
  10. Passion and curiosity for building and creating things
  11. Demonstrated knowledge of application security
  12. Great verbal and written communication skills
  13. Demonstrates strong empathy for internal and external customers
