Adexen Recruitment Agency was mandated by a multinational maritime organizatio to recruit an experienced candidate to fill the position below for their operations in Nigeria:

Job Position: Supply Chain Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibility

  1. Ensure Purchase Requests are achieved by an efficient supply chain management
  2. Ensure proper tendering and contracting process
  3. Optimize logistics and warehousing
  4. Ensure SCM team mentoring and coaching
  5. Respect of basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  6. Performing a daily inspection of the area under his responsibility especially the warehouse(s)
  7. Coordinating and maintaining material and equipment.
  8. Keep the work area clean and tidy
  9. Good and safe storekeeping
  10. Purchasing and warehouses team adherence to required process laid down by SCM
  11. Possible disciplinary deviation identified, followed up with HR and closed timely
  12. Follow up delivery of the right parts and at the right time
  13. Clear schedule maintained from PR to PO creation through material delivery till PO is closed and vendor paid.
  14. Follow the team PRs and POs backlog Management
  15. Organize and lead the SCM weekly meeting while SCM is on time off
  16. Ensure vendors perform regular assessments
  17. Ensure NC are issued when required and properly closed
  18. Manage the prepayments process for international vendors
  19. Ensure prepayment meetings and reports are properly issued to allow weekly prepayments release
  20. Verify prepayment documentation is provided to finance and files are closed
  21. Effective follow-up and overseeing on purchasing, contracting and tendering activities
  22. Ensure compliance of purchasing and contracting process as per internal procedure and external regulations
  23. Responsible for the correct application of all SCM and Logistics contracts (where applicable to the scope consideration) in the Organization
  24. Prepare tenders for contracts to renew, or new ones to implement
  25. Perform proper analysis, award recommendations and performance assessment when required
  26. Responsible for lifting Operations and the management of hazardous materials / chemicals within the Warehouse
  27. Ensure ERP (ORACLE) and any other system are properly implemented, managed and developed to allow efficient work and reporting

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in SCM, Logistics, Business Administration or any related discipline is desirable
  2. Master’s Degree is a plus
  3. Additional Certificates and/or Diplomas in Supply Chain Management or related fields will be an added advantage
  4. Minimum of 7 years experience in a managerial role in Purchasing / Logistics / Supply Chain Management in an International Organization preferably a Marine Organization.
  5. Ideally 10 years plus experience within the field of supply chain / logistics or procurement.
  6. Experience within the Nigerian content would be preferable

Salary
EUR 95,000  annually.
