Job Position: Business Operations Manager

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. The role will report to the Executive Director and will be responsible for overseeing the business operation functions by developing and diversifying the business to increase the revenue and ensure the future growth and development is guaranteed.
  2. Facilitate the realization of the firm’s strategic objectives by coordinating the articulation of short-medium- and long-term business plans and objectives in line with the overall Group corporate strategy.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the daily business operations.
  2. Coordinate the annual review of the Company’s business/strategic plan. Provide input and feedback as appropriate.
  3. Develop and implement annual operational plan, budget, targets, and performance outcomes for the firm and her initiatives.
  4. Oversee the planning, implementation, execution and evaluation of business and projects to ensure cost effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of all developments.
  5. Oversee the marketing and sales of development projects and ensure impact on business revenue.
  6. Prepare the development and operational business plans (including market research, due diligence reports, financial analysis, investment strategy, anchors strategy, pricing, sale and lease strategy, risk register and exit strategy) of the real estate projects.
  7. Make recommendations on potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  8. Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners’ needs and goals.
  9. Supervise the closure of potential business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  10. Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  11. Develop and implement systems to monitor project performance against budget authorization, project schedules and established quality control standards. This includes identifying variances and working with the development team to develop and implement plans to correct ineffective operations.
  12. In collaboration with the Finance Manager, develop and manage the budget and schedule for the project. Track all spending and ensure project is completed within the budget and on schedule.
  13. Anticipate critical issues, potential problems, risks and present to the Management.
  14. Conversant with changes/trends/new pronouncements in accounting and reporting standards and advice management as appropriate
  15. Prepare/compile agreed periodic activity and performance reports for the attention of management and other relevant parties.
  16. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the short, medium- and long-term business strategy goals and objectives for the individual business units and subsidiaries.
  17. Coordinate the collation, documentation, and periodic review of the firm’s corporate strategic plan and budget.
  18. Develop and communicate the firm’s approved business planning cycles, processes, premises, and assumptions.
  19. Coordinate ongoing measurement of the firm’s performance against set targets and against competitor benchmarks in industry and report significant developments to management.
  20. Prepare periodic corporate performance/business review reports for management attention.
  21. Validate/confirm and document management approval processes and incorporate into planning as required.

Job Requirements

  1. A First Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Economics, or any other relevant discipline from a reputable institution.
  2. A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a related field.
  3. Demonstratable ability to supervise, plan, organize and prioritize responsibilities to consistently meet deadlines.
  4. Knowledge of all types of real estate investments and asset classes.
  5. Creative, Innovative and Technology oriented.
  6. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
