Job Description: Head of Finance

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description 

  1. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to lead our institution’s financial operations. The Head of Finance will play a critical role in managing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement financial strategies and plans in alignment with the school’s goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee budgeting processes and ensure effective financial controls.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  4. Manage the institution’s investments and financial assets.
  5. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  6. Provide financial guidance and support to the senior leadership team.
  7. Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities during financial audits.
  8. Stay updated with financial trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
  • 5 – 10 years work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA is desirable.
