Job Position: Consultant – (Mid-Level, Technical)

Job Locations: Lagos & Abuja.

Job Description

  2. A Consultant is responsible for providing industry expertise to corporations and individuals.
  3. Their duties include researching their client and their client’s position within an industry, meeting with company executives or professionals to make suggestions and develop improvement plans based on their needs and maintaining a professional relationship with their clients over time.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Play a key role in GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) projects, overseeing the entire process from consulting to implementation.
  2. Apply GRC fundamentals in various processes.
  3. Understand and document information systems and processes accurately.
  4. Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide relevant solutions and advice.
  5. Understand information security controls and their relevance to engagement requirements.
  6. Raise awareness among clients and internal teams about GRC.
  7. Lead the system-wide information security compliance program, ensuring that IT activities, processes, and procedures meet defined requirements, policies, and regulations.
  8. Develop and implement effective and reasonable policies and practices to secure protected and sensitive data, ensuring information security and compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretation.
  9. Execute strategies to address the increasing number of audits, compliance checks, and external assessment processes conducted by internal and external auditors.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related discipline.
  2. Working knowledge of frameworks, standards, and regulations, including PCI, ISO 27001/22301, and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
  3. Possession of valid certifications in ISO 27001/22301/CEH.
  4. Possession of ISO 9001, CISA, CISM, CISSP certifications would be an advantage.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in an information systems environment, with a strong knowledge of IT Governance and Systems Information Security.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  1. The ideal candidate should be agile and able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision within specific assignments.
  2. Extensive experience as a technical consultant in a related industry.
  3. Advanced knowledge of hardware and software solutions and network maintenance.
  4. Ability to develop and maintain internal error logs and provide support.
  5. Proficiency in providing efficient web portal support.
  6. Ability to ensure optimal system functionality by monitoring performance metrics.
  7. Advanced knowledge of data protection and software encryption.
  8. Ability to stay updated with IT trends and innovations.
  9. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
