Job Position: Zonal Manager

Job Description

  1. As a Zonal Manager, your main responsibility is to supervise and support regional activities to achieve profitability and productivity in every branch within the region.
  2. You will also ensure full compliance with Alert policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
The role involves various tasks and responsibilities, including:

  1. Participate in branch expansion, internal and external recruitment, brand management, and business development activities.
  2. Train and supervise branch operations staff, ensuring adherence to internal processes and procedures for an efficient and effective workforce.
  3. Implement policies, procedures, standards, and processes in the branches of the zone.
  4. Ensure continuous adherence to defined operations policies within the branches.
  5. Build, develop, and manage the loan and saving portfolio of the zone.
  6. Participate in recovery efforts and ensure the recovery process is respected by all branches in the zone.
  7. Represent operations management in the zone.
  8. Approve loan files within the limit assigned by Management.
  9. Ensure regional managers and branch management provide maximum support to their subordinates for better productivity.
  10. Conduct periodic assessments of client service for an enhanced Alert client experience.
  11. Ensure all branches in the zone are profitable according to the budget.
  12. Play a key role in creating a conducive working environment for staff progress.
  13. Coordinate with all other departments to ensure branches in the zone receive necessary support for smooth operations.
  14. Provide regular reports on the effectiveness and efficiency of operations activities, portfolio status at the branches, to aid management in analysis and decision making.
  15. Ensure accurate records are maintained and necessary reports are generated on time.
  16. Support the handling of customer complaints according to different levels of authorization.
  17. Present new opportunities for product development and business partnerships on a regular basis to foster business growth.
  18. Review audit reports of all assigned branches, ensuring minimal error rates and prompt resolution of audit issues.
  19. Develop training manuals to educate staff under your supervision on prevalent audit matters/issues to curtail recurrence.
  20. Review operational risk of the bank to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  21. Coordinate and manage the activities of the head office/operations management in the zone.
  22. Supervise other staff assigned to the zone.
  23. Participate in branch expansion, brand management, and business development activities within the region.
  24. Carry out all other activities assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements
To excel in this role, the following competencies and skills are required:

  2. Minimum of 5 years experience
  3. Ability to manage 7×24 operations for banking and transaction processing.

  19. Minimum position before new role- Regional Manager supervising many branches or Branch Manager of over 8 years.
  20. Knowledge of Lagos and southwest Nigeria.
  21. Driving ability
  22. International passport to enable foreign trips.
