Job Position: Scrum Master

Job Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings.
  2. Help the Scrum team achieve higher levels of Scrum maturity.
  3. Eliminate impediments to the Scrum team’s progress.
  4. Work closely with Product Managers to groom and prioritize the backlog.
  5. Protect the dev team from outside disruptions and distractions.
  6. Ensure that the dev team is fully functional, productive, and focused on the sprint goal.
  7. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve the methodologies and best practices.
  8. Track metrics such as sprint velocity and engineering output and facilitate the creation of burndown charts to monitor team progress and product regular Sprint reports.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  2. Experience with agile project management tools like Jira or Asana.
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience working within the technology sector.
  4. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification preferred.
  5. Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
  6. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Familiarity with software development processes and procedures.
  8. Ability to deal with conflicts and resolve them in a constructive manner.
