Job Position: Sales Consultant / Business Developer

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are looking for a passionate and driven Sales Consultant. If you have experience in selling IT solutions and products, a knack for entering new markets, and a desire to make a significant impact in the IT industry, we want to hear from you.
  2. The IT Solutions Sales Specialist will lead sales efforts by identifying and pursuing new opportunities in IT solutions and products.
  3. They will establish and nurture key industry relationships, promote our offerings, and drive revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities
The Sales Consultant position includes the following key responsibilities:

  1. Identify and configure new opportunities by collaborating with the Strategy & Innovation team to develop or adapt products and solutions that address customers’ needs across industry segments.
  2. Establish key relationships with customers and agencies based on industry segments to ensure maximum exposure and increase revenue.
  3. Ensure all opportunities are taken to promote our products/solutions to current and prospective customers in industry segments.
  4. Perform sales activities and solicit new customers.
  5. Prospect for new opportunities and identify profitable customers for the company’ products/solutions in the assigned sector.
  6. Identify networking opportunities, sales conferences, and events that would positively impact sales in the assigned industry vertical.
  7. Generate sales leads/opportunities that can be converted into sales and follow up diligently.
  8. Conduct external presentations to customers, potential clients, and channel partners by performing customer demo sessions.
  9. Contribute to the development of proposals and bids for customers.
  10. Negotiate contract and payment terms with clients and prepare tenets of agreements for review.
  11. Document and maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all clients and prospective clients.
  12. Generate demand by proactively reaching potential customers to make them aware of the company’s products and solutions.
  13. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers of products and solutions in the assigned industry vertical.
  14. Liaise with relevant internal teams to ensure customer issues and complaints are properly resolved (escalate where necessary).
  15. Drive the payment collection process by working with the Finance team to receive balance payments for completed projects within stipulated periods.
  16. Provide market feedback, competitor analysis, and industry insights to the supervisor.
  17. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on sales activities to the supervisor.
  18. Conduct research to obtain and analyse data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.

Job Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees with 5 – 15 years relevant work experience.
  2. Proven experience in the sales of IT solutions and products.
  3. Track record of entering new markets and sectors.
  4. Familiarity with selling platform business.
  5. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Salary
N250,000 Monthly.
