Job Position: Packaging Team Leader

Job Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description

  • The key purpose of this job is to lead the shift-based team/s in the execution of the production plan to the required performance criteria (QCDSM)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintaining safety, Quality and Environmental standards
  2. Drive and maintain VPO implementation
  3. Developing, tracking and monitoring team PI’s and KPI’s
  4. Timely reaction to negative trends (out of controls)
  5. Participating and managing problem solving activities
  6. Delivering the packaging plan
  7. Continuously improving – QCDSM
  8. Supporting and coaching team members
  9. Managing the teams MCRS
  10. Manages shift in accordance with VPO tools and principles
  11. Manages shift to achieve production plan within the allowed costs
  12. Co-ordinate scheduled maintenance and autonomous operations
  13. Monitor and co-ordinate production processes to within budget.
  14. Interpret and implement the production plan for shift.
  15. Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  16. Build and foster relationships with customers and suppliers.
  17. Ensure application of admin systems and procedures.
  18. Administer conditions of employment for team members.
  19. Contribute to self and team development.
  20. Prepare and control budgets.

Qualifying and Improving VPO:

  1. Engage with the Plant regarding their VPO dream by owning and driving VPO across the Department
  2. Representation during milestone audits will be necessary to support the Plant’s VPO dream.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • 2-5 years experience in a packaging process environment.
