Job Position: Human Resource Officer

Job Description

  1. The Human Resource Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our school’s human capital.
  2. This position is responsible for overseeing various HR functions to support the school’s mission and ensure a positive work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding: Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs, manage the recruitment process, conduct interviews, and facilitate the onboarding of new employees.
  2. HR Policies and Compliance: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
  3. Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, address concerns, and facilitate conflict resolution as needed to maintain a positive work environment.
  4. Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal systems, including goal setting and performance improvement plans.
  5. Training and Development: Identify training needs, coordinate training programs, and support employee development initiatives.
  6. Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  7. Records and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation, including contracts and personnel files.
  8. HR Reporting: Generate HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and provide insights into HR trends.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources management.
  3. Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  6. Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Prior experience in an educational setting is a plus.
