Job Position: Human Resource Executive

Job Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are seeking an experienced HR Professional to join our dynamic team.
  2. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 6 years of progressive HR experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of HR practices, policies, and employment laws.
  3. Previous experience in the banking sector will be considered an advantage.

Job Responsibilities
The role involves working closely with clients & staff, increasingly in a consultancy role, People Management & assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures. Main responsibilities include:

  1. Providing excellent HR services to our clients
  2. Being a point of contact for HR clients of the company
  3. Manage and oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates.
  4. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
  5. Administer and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
  6. Provide guidance and support to management and employees regarding HR-related matters, including performance management, employee relations, and conflict resolution.
  7. Assist in the design and execution of training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  8. Maintain accurate HR records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  9. Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and practices.
  10. Developing and implementing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management
  11. Preparing staff handbooks
  12. Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits.
  13. Undertaking regular salary reviews
  14. Administering payroll and maintaining employee records
  15. Interpreting and advising on employment law
  16. Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience of 3 to 6 years in HR roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  3. Previous experience in the banking sector will be considered an advantage.
  4. Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  8. Previous experience in the banking sector will be considered advantageous.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
  10. Discretion, good judgement ability, adaptable and versatile
  11. Ability to equilibrate priorities and organise work effectively to meet deadlines.
  12. Strong leadership skills
  13. Good knowledge of the capital market
  14. Knowledge of ICMR regulations
  15. Good Knowledge of share registration processes

You will be comfortable working at both strategic and tactical level and ideally have experience in the following areas:

  3. Exposure to all generalist areas, particularly employee relations
  4. Good systems knowledge
  5. Organisation design experience
  6. Compensation and benefits
  7. Payroll
  8. Project Management
  9. You will be a natural leader with a consultative and pragmatic style with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders across all levels up to a senior/board level.
