Job Position: Scaffolder

Job Location: Offshore, Nigeria

Job Description

  1. We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Services Nigeria for a Scaffolder.
  2. This position is a unique opportunity to carry out skilled scaffolding work.
  3. This includes erection of scaffolding of various types, establishing platforms and safety measures and dismantling and removing on completion of job.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Erection of scaffolding of various types, establishing platforms and safety measures.
  2. Dismantling and removing on completion.
  3. Undertaking checking/assessing and when directed.
  4. Help to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety.
  5. Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract/agreed requirements.
  6. Carry out tasks within agreed time limits.
  7. Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.
  8. Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager.
  9. Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole.
  10. Contribute towards the smooth running of the team.
  11. Adhere to all organization policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  1. Ideally, you should have a Higher Secondary level of education and certified as Scaffolder.
  2. You are a certified scaffolder familiar to the Oil & Gas Industry for Offshore operations.
  3. Experience in SHUTDOWN activities is a strong plus
  4. You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  5. You will need excellent communication and presentation skills in both written and verbal English.
