Job Position: Human Resources Officer
Job Location: Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT)
Job Description
- As an HR Officer, you will play a key role in assisting the Human Resources department and the Group Human Resources Manager by providing support in various HR functions.
- You will assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures, help manage Recruitment and employee relations, and contribute to the overall success of the Group HR department in meeting the organization’s strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for recruitment & selection- (Identify manpower gaps and ensure the whole recruitment process – documentation, reference checks, induction and placement)
- Management of human capital-personnel records management, counseling, staff discipline, punctuality and attendance monitoring
- Initiate and lead human resources programs and projects.
- Introduction and maintenance human resources records and statistics.
- Formulate strategic and practical plans to address human resource matters.
- Implement HR policies and procedures.
- Ensuring HR programs and services are in compliance with established policies and procedures and labour legislation.
- Preparing and maintaining reports related to specific HR projects.
- Assisting with the development and coordination of recommended changes regarding workflow.
- Formulation, establishment and implementation of Employee Training Policies, Training Plan and Training Execution.
- Welfare and Compensation- (wages and salary administration, pension administration, compensation & insurance administration, bonus & incentives)
- Industrial & Labour Relations- (Ensuring industrial harmony, conflict resolution)
- Documentation (Maintenance of employee personal files, issuance of memos, appointment letters, contracts letters)
- Standard Reports (Daily, weekly, monthly HR reports)
- Performance Management- (Staff of the month, Quarterly performance review, bi-yearly appraisal, Staff Audit, Job Description, Job Evaluation & Job Analysis)
- Liaise with other functional departments outside Human Resources department
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. Degree in Human Resources Management or related course.
- Minimum of 3 years cognate HR generalist experience. (Must have participated in HR activities such as recruitment, performance management etc.).
- Must be able to work independently.
- A good knowledge of Nigerian employment practices and Labour law.
- Proficiency in computer applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is mandatory.
