Job Position: Human Resource Intern

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  1. The Human Resource Intern will support the Human Resource Team.
  2. S/he must have strong written and oral communication skills, must be detail-oriented and meticulous in his/her approach to tasks.
  3. S/he will assist the HR Team to attract, hire and retain the best team members.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Updating company databases by inputting new employee contact information and employment details.
  2. Screening potential employees’ resumes and application forms to identify suitable candidates to fill company job vacancies.
  3. Organizing interviews with shortlisted candidates.
  4. Posting job advertisements to job boards and social media platforms.
  5. Removing job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms once vacancies have been filled.
  6. Maintains the calendars of the HR management team.
  7. Assisting the HR staff in gathering market salary information.
  8. Assisting in the planning of company events.
  9. Preparing and sending offer and rejection letters or emails to candidates.
  10. Coordinating new hire orientations.
  11. Following up with the onboarding process of new team members.
  12. Responding to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related matters.

Job Requirements

  1. A Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations & Personnel Management, Business Administration, Psychology or any related field is required.
  2. At least six months to one year proved experience in Human Resources Management, Administrative assistance or any relevant human resources/administrative position.
  3. Excellent organisational & time-management skills
  4. Administrative skills
  5. Proficient use of excel and good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  6. Strong communication skills & Interpersonal skills
  7. Basic knowledge of labor legislation
  8. Report writing & analytical skills.
  9. Efficient use of google drive and HRIS is an added advantage.
