Nomba, launched in 2017 as “Kudi.ai”, is a chatbot that responds to financial requests on social apps. Nomba has since evolved to empower independent businesses to act as neighborhood banks offering basic financial services such as cash withdrawal, transfer and bill payments to all Nigerians, especially those in underserved communities. Today we process more than $500m in payments monthly.

Job Responsibilities
Here’s what your day to day will look like:
- Consumer-Centric Design: Create consumer-centric designs that align with Nomba’s brand and business goals. Enhance the overall user experience.
- Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and developers, to bring design concepts from ideation to implementation.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to communicate design concepts and interactions effectively.
- Usability Testing: Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience.
- Design System Management (Nomba One): Contribute to the development and maintenance of a design system to ensure consistency across products.
- Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continually enhance design processes.
Job Requirements
- Problem Solver: A problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple and elegant designs.
- Consumer Driven: At Nomba, consumers are the heart and soul of our business, your ability to immerse and break down the consumers is a must have
- Excellent design skills: Proficiency in visual design, interaction design, information architecture, and user research. Demonstrated ability to create high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design tools (e.g.Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Maze, Miro, Notions)
- User Empathy: Deep empathy for users and a commitment to creating products that enhance their lives.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to evolving project requirements.
- Proven Experience: A portfolio showcasing your experience in product design, including examples of successfully launched products.
