Job Position: Social Media Manager

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  1. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive media strategies to enhance the visibility of the company.
  2. This role involves overseeing various media channels, managing relationships with media outlets, and creating engaging content to promote the organization’s brand.
  3. A media manager would ensure that designs, creation, execution and/or delivery of a broad array of media production is communicated to a variety of audiences.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Plan, create and implement our social media strategies across the entire brand.
  2. Identify insights and social media trends for campaigns through data analytics.
  3. Content management across multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
  4. Collaborate with internal and external teams and agencies when necessary.
  5. Management and dissemination of all leads generated through social media campaigns.
  6. Monitor company brand consistency, customer engagement, web traffic of social media campaigns.
  7. Negotiate favorable terms with vendors and outlets, develop and manage the media budget, ensuring cost effective use of resources.
  8. Respond to all media inquiries and other media interactions. Maintain relationships with other media professionals.

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Proven ability to build social media communities and manage a brand’s identity online.
  3. Two (2) years working experience managing social media accounts.
  4. Must have all required and existing relationships with social media celebrities and Blogs.
  5. Must be able to understand social media tools.
  6. Attention to details, complex workflow management, strong organizational and project management skills.
  7. Knowledge and understanding of current social trends and latest social platform features.
  8. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  9. Content development experience including creative concepting and strategic planning for the development of social media campaigns.
  10. Creative writing skills, ability to communicate a variety of messages while keeping the brand voice consistent.
