Job Position: Junior Frontend Designer
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Develop new user-facing features using React.js.
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
- Work closely with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end aspects of the web application.
- Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and agile development processes.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Maintain and improve existing codebase.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure best practices are applied.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure robustness and reliability.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks.
- Create and maintain documentation for code, reusable components, and development processes.
- Document new development processes and update existing ones as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid understanding of React.js and its core principles.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Webpack, Babel, NPM, etc.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration with front-end services.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Basic knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.
- Understanding of front-end testing frameworks and tools such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
- Basic knowledge of state management libraries like Redux or Context API.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
- Some experience with web development projects, whether through internships, school projects, or personal projects.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
Salary
- N100,000 – N150,000 monthly
