Job Description
- We’re searching for an experienced technical writer to join our team and help take our self-service options and customer understanding of Tackle to new heights. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a highly technical field, such as software development, computer science, product management, engineering, or related fields. Also crucial in this role is the ability to evaluate and analyze complex information and a natural desire to help people understand it. In this role, you will also write technical product documentation, creating help topics that give users a strong learning experience in our enterprise software. As part of the documentation and enablement team, you bring a user-centered focus to make our documentation and product language match the needs of our intended audiences. You are a strong communicator and experienced at organizing information.
Job Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
- Evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement
- Gain a deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content
- Write and edit user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language for user success
- Collaborate well with UX, Product, and Engineering teams to understand Tackle’s product goals and audiences as you work
- Partner with subject matter experts across the company to deeply learn the Tackle platform
- Continuously monitor customer support case patterns and proactively address knowledge gaps in the documentation
- Be familiar with Agile and unafraid of Github, Jira, and developer-centric workflow

Job Requirements

- 2+ years writing customer-facing product documentation for enterprise SaaS (B2B) products, including experience editing content written by product managers and engineers
- Experience writing for technical users or products that support integrations
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong technical documentation experience. We must have samples to consider your application.
- Experience creating and maintaining writing guidelines and processes
- Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
- Excellent collaboration and written communication skills, with an eye for detail
- Experience working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, product, UX), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary
- $63,000 – $87,000 Anually
