Job Position: Architect (Intern)

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  1. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Entry-Level Architect to join our dynamic team.
  2. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 3D design solutions such as SketchUp, Revit, and AutoCAD, with a passion for architecture and a willingness to learn.
  3. This role involves assisting with various architectural projects, creating design plans, and collaborating with senior architects to bring our clients’ visions to life.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design Assistance: Support senior architects in developing architectural concepts and plans.
  2. Technical Drawings: Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other design software.
  3. 3D Modeling: Develop 3D models and renderings using software such as SketchUp and other 3D tools.
  4. Client Meetings: Assist in preparing presentations for client meetings and participate in discussions to understand client needs and preferences.
  5. Material Selection: Research and select materials, finishes, and architectural elements in line with design concepts.
  6. Project Coordination: Help coordinate architectural projects from concept through completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  7. Documentation: Maintain project documentation and organize design files.
  8. Site Visits: Conduct site visits to understand the space and gather necessary measurements and details.
  9. Collaborative Work: Work closely with the design team and other departments to ensure cohesive and integrated architectural solutions.
  10. Feedback Implementation: Incorporate feedback from senior architects and clients into design revisions.

Job Requirements

  1. Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Degree in Architecture or a related field.
  2. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other 3D design software.
  3. Work Tool: Must have a personal laptop capable of running design software.
  4. Creativity: Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  8. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with other design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.
  2. Previous internship or work experience in architecture or a related field is advantageous.
