Zenith Carex International Limited was incorporated on 1st November 2002,under the 1968 Companies Acts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under registration RC 465 705. We have, in line with our vision, already taken a front-line position in the air express industry in less than a decade since our commencement of operations. We have cut a niche as the air express company that can depend upon not only to keep with the terms of our services but more often to exceed customersexpectations. Zenith Carex International was established to offer unique air express mail and freight delivery services to our clients in new and innovative ways that would mark a clear departure from existing methods.

Job Position: Legal / Compliance Officer

Job Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures.
  2. Serves as a liason for all regulatory bodies as well as maintaining relationships with relevant bodies and trade associations.
  3. Identify risks, prevention, monitoring and resolution.
  4. Serve as advisory board to the company.
  5. Company policy development.
  6. Determining and tracking compliance metric.
  7. Resolve conflicts and interact with all legal matters of the company.
  8. Promote a culture of integrity, ethics, and accountability throughout the organization, leading by example and fostering open communication and transparency.
  9. Respond to compliance inquiries, requests, and notifications from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications in compliance or related areas are a plus.
  2. Must have at least 3 years experience post call.
  3. Proven experience in compliance, risk management or regulatory affairs roles.
  4. Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable to the organization’s operations.
  5. Knowledge of compliance frameworks, methodologies, and best practices, such as COSO, ISO 19600, or NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex compliance issues and develop practical solutions.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  8. Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, reporting, and compliance-related activities.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  10. Integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior in handling sensitive information and compliance matters.
  11. Proficiency in compliance management tools, software, and systems.
  12. Must be living in Abuja.
