Job Position: Finance Analyst

Job Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a proficient and innovative Finance Analyst who will serve as a member of our finance team and support the company’s financial decision-making and ensure it’s financial health.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Compile and analyze financial data and generate detailed financial reports & statements
  2. Ensure data accuracy, assist in identifying financial trends & variances and participate in the preparation of budgetary plans
  3. Stay updated on relevant financial regulations and assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  4. Support the implementation of governance policies, contribute to internal and external audit processes and provide documentation for compliance reporting.
  5. Contribute to the identification and assessment of financial risks, assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and participate in monitoring risk exposure.
  6. Gain proficiency in financial software and tools, assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and contribute to the integration of technology for financial efficiency.
  7. Assist in routine treasury tasks, execute cash flow forecasting and participate in treasury training sessions.
  8. Support daily liquidity management and collaborate on banking relationships.
  9. Assist in routine tax operations, execute basic tax compliance checks and Support the preparation of tax documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other related fields.
  • 2 years work experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial services or fin-tech company.
  • ACA or ACCA is an added advantage.
  • Good reporting skills and standards.
  • High level of intelligence with the ability to learn with ease and speed.
  • Ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages is highly essential and recommended.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English, problem solving, analytical thinking, and communication.
  • Self-confidence and authenticity while having high personal ambitions and strong work ethic.
