Job Description

  1. This role is to drive the organization’s data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets.
  2. As a key member of our team, the incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, design data solutions, and implement strategies for effective data management.
  3. From constructing data pipelines to generating actionable insights, this role plays a pivotal part in shaping the organization’s data infrastructure.
  4. The successful candidate will leverage advanced analytical skills, programming proficiency, and a strategic mindset to contribute to the optimization of processes and support informed business strategies

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement robust data collection processes, ensuring accuracy through regular validation checks
  2. Design and maintain databases to store and retrieve data efficiently. Optimize database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
  3. Utilize statistical methods and tools to analyze large datasets. Interpret trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing actionable insights for decision-making
  4. Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to transform raw data into usable formats. Streamline and automate data workflows for efficiency.
  5. Work closely with teams from various departments to understand their data needs. Collaborate on projects and provide data-driven insights to support business goals.
  6. Create visually compelling reports and dashboards using tools like Google Looker Studio, Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other data visualization platforms. Communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  7. Document data processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  8. Share knowledge within the team and contribute to the development of a robust data knowledge base.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  2. Post Graduate Degree (MBA, M.Sc., etc.) an added advantage
  3. Certifications will be an added advantage
  4. Experience in extracting, cleaning, and analyzing data to generate actionable insights. Proficient in creating reports and dashboards for various stakeholders.
  5. Proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining databases. Knowledgeable in database optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
  6. Hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, ensuring efficient data transformation and integration across systems.
  7. Proficient in creating compelling visualizations using tools such as Google Looker Studio, Zoho Analytics, Power BI, and other data visualization platforms. Ability to communicate complex findings through visual representation.
  8. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams from various departments, understanding their data needs, and providing valuable insights.
