Job Position: Content Team Lead

Job Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage content team workflow and promote content
  2. Manage content calendar and collaborate with the marketing team
  3. Create and publish engaging content.
  4. Ensure content is clearly communicated, build a brand’s identity and online presence through a content creation strategy, managing a content team, and growing an online.
  5. Develop a cross-platform content strategy in alignment with the company’s marketing goals.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to plan the site style, content, and layout.
  7. Create, proofread, and publish engaging content.
  8. Manage a content team of writers, ensure brand consistency and optimize content according to SEO strategy.
  9. Manage distribution channels and analyze traffic and user engagement metrics.
  10. Brainstorm with the team, generate new content ideas, write, edit and proofread content.
  11. Manage a content team consisting of content writer, graphic designer, videographer and Editor, Social Media Manager, etc.
  12. Formulating a cross-platform content strategy and brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas.
  13. Build a following on social media, provide editorial, creative and technical support to team members.
  14. Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.
  15. Manage content across all platforms, including email and social media.
  16. Creativity and the ability to develop original content that provokes engagement.
  17. Ensuring content is clearly communicated; consistent across platforms; and promoting content.
  18. Take optional ownership of the Content Marketing content creation schedule and have accountability for coordinating the internal task management platform.
  19. Produce regular reports to provide insight into the performance of content across various marketing channels.
  20. Work to maintain existing content production whilst continuously researching and recommending new avenues to increase content reach (across written, audio and video)
  21. Line management of a team of internal content creators, supporting each team member to create a high volume of quality content output drive the wider strategy.
  22. Hold weekly content team stand ups to aid content planning and optimise team efficiency and work to develop individual team members with monthly performance meetings.
  23. Mange existing roster of external content contributors, while continually seeking new contributors that specialise in subject matters that align with business priorities.
  24. Implement, maintain, and refine an SEO strategy to improve the online reach of the client’s products.
  25. Manage the company Furniture, Academy, Mande and Susu Podcast with team.
  26. Manage Podcasts for Diverse Audiences, Content and Guest Coordination as well as episode Scheduling and Publishing.
  27. Develop and maintain podcast schedule while working with your team to determine when each episode will be recorded, as well as ensuring that each episode is edited and published on schedule.
  28. Organizing and scheduling recording sessions which might involve coordinating with guests and other team members to find a time that works for everyone, as well as booking a space or equipment needed to record the podcast.
  29. Ensuring that all equipment is ready and in working order which might encompass setting up microphones, making sure there are enough equipment, cables and testing all the monitors well beforehand so you can mitigate any issues that come up before it’s time to record.
  30. Managing sound quality and editing episodes. You might need to use a pop filter, adjust gain levels, or cut out any unwanted noise to make your audio files sound as professional as possible.
  31. Keeping track of deadlines and ensuring that episodes are released on time. This entails meeting brand deal deadlines, self-imposed deadlines, and keeping any promises made to the audience about what will be uploaded next.
  32. Uploading episodes and publishing show notes which includes having the show audio transcribed to text and uploading the audio and all accompanying files to podcast syndicators like Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
  33. Promoting new episodes through social media and email marketing campaigns this includes both standard advertising and finding creative ways to market the show to potential listeners, like cross-promotion with other shows or podcasts that might have a similar target audience.
  34. Analyzing listener feedback and making necessary changes to the show which is important to keep listeners engaged and ensure that the show is meeting their needs and expectations, as well as making sure you’re only spending money on recording and marketing strategies that are actually working for you.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should be a graduate.
  • Minimum of 3-4years of experience.
  • Proximity to Surulere is an added advantage.
