Job Position: Head, Data Platform Engineering
Job Location: Lagos
Job Description
- The Head, Data Platform Engineering is responsible for leading software engineering processes within the Data Platform engineering team, ensuring the seamless deployment, monitoring, and optimization of applications under their purview.
Job Responsibilities
- Connect with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify problem areas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that align with organizational business objectives.
- Develop architectural blueprints and technical specifications.
- Design and test technical architecture
- Propose IT solutions to data business challenges
- Lead engineering efforts in solution delivery
- Champion code reviews
- Assist in coding efforts where required.
- Ensure comprehensive solution documentation
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in spring boot, Java and related technologies.
- Responsible for team’s repository, lead decision making on code refactoring
- Responsible for bug fixes and improvements
- Mentor and guide development teams and ensure quality delivery of code.
Job Requirements
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years in a software engineering
- 2-3 years leading a development team
