Job Description

  •  We’re seeking a Head of Product Marketing, who will play a crucial leadership role in driving the marketing strategy for our suite of financial technology products.
  • You will lead a team of product marketers, ensuring that all products are positioned effectively in the market, with clear messaging that resonates with our target audiences.
  • Your leadership will guide the team in executing marketing campaigns that drive product adoption, customer engagement, and overall business growth.
  • You will oversee the strategic positioning, messaging, and market adoption of Flutterwave’s product portfolio.
  • This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success, to ensure the successful launch and growth of products.
  • You will also play a critical role in understanding customer needs, competitive positioning, and market trends to drive marketing initiatives that support business objectives.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be Like 

  • Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Identify target market segments and develop strategies to reach them effectively.
  • Develop clear, compelling product positioning and messaging that differentiates Flutterwave’s offerings in the market.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product marketers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Lead the go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, including coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure readiness.
  • Define and track success metrics for product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Create and deliver sales enablement tools, such as product collateral, presentations, and competitive analysis, to support the Sales team.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Work with the Product Management team to ensure customer insights are incorporated into the product roadmap.
  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to drive product awareness, adoption, and retention.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to leverage online channels for product promotion.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Product, Sales, and Customer Success, to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within the organization to advocate for customer-centric product development.

Required Competency and Skillet to be a Waver

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product marketing, with a track record of successful leadership in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of the fintech industry and its competitive landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans that drive business results.
  • Proven track record of leading successful product launches and marketing campaigns.
  • Experience with market research, customer segmentation, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools and CRM systems.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
